Buying a new bike is often a big commitment. That new bike may be with you for decades, so we want to help you get it right and ensure that the bike feels right and fits right before you part with your money. We believe it is not as simple as click and hope or just a spin round the carpark in your jeans!
We have our own demo Road and MTB fleet to make that choice, we have one of the biggest cycle demo fleets in East Anglia, and if we do not hold it in stock with a little notice we can get a demo bike in from most of our brands. We hold demo bikes from; Santa Cruz, Orbea and Trek, everything from Road bikes to Enduro Bikes.

We have several ways you can demo a bike:
We hold two types of demo days:
C6 Demo days, these are announced on Facebook and our blog, usually once a month and at held within a 50mile radius of our shop. We bring our in house MTB or Road demo fleet out with us so you can try several different brands and models. These cost £10, but you will receive a £10 voucher to spend in the shop*
Brand demo days, we will hold these events once a year per brand, our manufactures bring their entire demo fleet out so you can try several models within one brand, these demo days are announced on Facebook and our blog as well as the manufactures website. These events are free.
Our demo bikes are not just confined to demo days they are available 24/7, we prefer you to take the bike for the weekend and hit the trials or smash out miles on the tarmac, we do not expect to ride them around the flat lands of Cambridge. This is great for those who know what they want, but just need to take it for a proper ride before they commit.
What does it cost?
If you like your ride and decide to purchase a bike we will take of the demo charge off your purchase**. A charge will be taken in advance, this is not an insurance waver***, a valid debit or credit card must be produced to take pre authorisation**** damage or theft has to be paid for*****. This is not a hire fleet******
With all our demo events, make sure you ring us or email us well in advance to book your ride, these bikes get booked out very quickly. Please bring your official government issued form of photo ID, (drivers Licence and passport), credit or debit card, helmet and pedals.
* You will not receive a voucher, £10 will be held virtually in our till system, when you purchase anything in store it will be automatically deducted from your bill
** Demo charge is only refundable on full bikes, or frames worth more than £1500, rebate is vailid for 60 days
*** The payment taken is not insurance waver, we cannot offer this service. It is an admin charge.
**** A pre authorisation will be taken off a valid card, in the event of the bike not being returned payment for the bike will be taken
***** A demo disclaimer has to be signed, once the bike has left the shop it is the customer responsibility, in the event of theft or damage, replacement will be charged at cost plus vat.
****** This is not a hire fleet, management have the choice to limit any individual from taking bikes on multiple tests
