About C6Bikes

C6 Bikes is an independent cycling shop owned and run by cyclists. We are passionate about performance and we know you are too. We live and breathe cycling. Our shop is relaxed and welcoming. Come in, have a coffee and talk bikes with us. We promise you will receive straight forward, friendly advice, from staff as passionate about cycling as you are.

We know that you want a store that is accessible and open at a time that suits you. Our shop is located just outside the City of Cambridge so you do not have to worry about parking or fight with City traffic. We have shifted our opening hours so that you can drop in on the way home from work and keep your weekends free if you wish for enjoying your sport.

We stock some of the world's finest cycling products. We have chosen our brands based on quality, heritage, technical performance and design; our products stand out from the crowd and are not available on the high street. We only stock what we believe in and what we would use ourselves. A real perk of the job is testing new products to ensure they are of the quality that we know our clients demand. Our focus is to ensure you can get the most out of cycling; our bikes, clothing and accessories will help make your dreams a reality.

Our clients are the sole reason we are in this business and our aim is to provide a professional, but personal service based on trust. You will receive the same excellent service whether you’re a complete beginner, sportive rider, seasoned road racer, triathlete, XC racer or trail rider. We understand that everybody is unique and your individual riding position, body shape, level of fitness, riding style and goals are different. We can help you select the bike and products that work just for you and our staff will offer a bespoke fit service to ensure you get the maximum performance from your new purchase. We understand that you may not want an off the peg bike so we can help build your bespoke bike around the frame of your choice, giving you the custom bike that handles just the way you dreamt it would.

I've been riding a bike of some form for as long as I can remember. I graduated from a bmx to my first ‘proper’ mountain bike in 1993 and haven’t looked back since. I’ve been racing cross country and cross country enduro events since for over 10 years as well riding in some amazing places all over the UK and from the Alps to Africa. I’ve built and ridden a whole range of bikes over the years and have seen a whole load of trends come and go. I’m passionate about providing advice based on experience and not just hype!

I asked my Dad to take the stabilisers off when I was 3 and since then I have been gripped by all things cycling! I did my first race at the age of 4 and was hooked. I have tried most cycling disciplines, although my allegiance has mostly sided towards the road scene. As a junior I competed in national and international competitions across Europe and my favourite races are on the cobbles in Belgium. Recently (May 2014) I completed a degree in sports therapy at the University of Central Lancashire in Preston. As a first cat on the road I still compete most weekends in local regional races as well as dabbling in some of the bigger national races with the pros. I have previous experience working in the industry for a well-recognised shop and enjoy keeping my own bikes working smoothly and looking good.
